Areas of Specialization/Focus:

I work with individuals who have difficulties with depression, anxiety, bereavement, anger, adjustment to positive or negative life changes, and general problems in living. I also work with individuals who have survived suicide attempts or who have been impacted by another person's suicide.

In couples counseling, sessions can include work on a variety of relationship issues, development of effective communication and conflict resolution skills, accurate understanding of ones partners feelings and concerns, and safe expression of emotions.

Therapy for people who are struggling with the use of both legal and illegal substances includes exploration of what underlies the substance use, how the person wishes to change his or her use, and the difficulties and consequences that have arisen because of that use.
