Personal Statement:

Dr. Gold received her doctorate in Counseling Psychology from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign and her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family counseling from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She has extensive training and experience in helping people deal with the broad range of concerns that present across the life span. Additionally, she has developed expertise in addressing eating disorders, compulsive eating, sexual, emotional and physical trauma, and women's issues. She believes that a crucial component of effective therapy involves helping people gain awareness of the ways that past experiences impact current feelings and beliefs. It is her intention to help individuals approach their issues with increased levels of compassion, facilitating positive change and growth. This allows old patterns to be released making way for more positive and productive ways of relating to self and others. Dr. Gold provides individual, couples, and group therapy.
